Caymon Jake Adams, known mononymously as Caymon (born February 2nd, 1994) is a singer/songwriter originally from Australia. Raised in Australia for 12 years by a Welsh mother and Australian father, Caymon moved to the UK with his family at 13 years old. When he turned 17, he began his music career. He is the younger brother of Jason.

Caymon was one of the very few URAPS acts to release his first two singles via On Air/On Sale release. "All Over Again" debuted at #9, and "Give You My Love" debuted at #5. His debut Mini-Album, "Nocturnal", debuted at #1 on the albums charts and has been certified platinum.

July 2012 saw the release of Caymon's third single "Girls" and his second studio album "Riders of the Night". He is due to embark on the Riders of the Night Tour 2013 next year, his first arena tour of the UK and Oceania.

Early Life[edit | edit source]

Caymon was born and raised in Sydney, Australia to a British mother (Penny Adams) and an Australian Father (Charlie Adams). He has two older brothers; Zackery Adams and Jason Adams. When Caymon was 15, his whole family packed up and moved to Cardiff in the United Kingdom. Caymon attended High School until 17 years old and after graduating, began hunting for a record deal. He struck a deal with Fusion Records and his career began.

Career Beginnings[edit | edit source]

Caymon began doing small gigs around the UK in late 2010 / early 2011. A rep for Fusion Records spotted Caymon and realized he had lots of talent. Caymon was signed to Fusion's sub-label, Bespoke in 2011 and began recording material with Xenomania and other well known producers.

2011 - Nocturnal[edit | edit source]

Caymon launched his debut single, "All Over Again" in March 2011. The summery pop tune was written by Caymon and produced by Dragonette and recieved high critical acclaim. Released via On Air/On Sale on March 28th 2011, the single charted at a respectable #9. A second single, "Give You My Love", written by Sexy Star and produced by Xenomania was released. The single experimented with a more Trance Pop genre and proved a success, charting at #5.

"Nocturnal", Caymon's debut (mini) album was released a week after "Give You My Love" on May 14th 2011. The album was a huge success and charted at #1 and eventually went platinum. A third single, "Chemistry", was planned but when Caymon's girlfriend Regina Harper fell pregnant, Caymon took a break from music.

2012 - Riders of the Night[edit | edit source]

Caymon began work on his second album, "Riders of the Night", in November 2011 and worked with producers such as Darkchild, Timbaland and Jim Beanz. The first single from the album was the Darkchild produced summer anthem "Girls" and was released on July 23rd, peaking at #3 on the singles charts. The album charted at #1 that same week. The second single lifted from the album was "Without You" a cover of the Lana Del Rey song, released on November 5th 2012. The single charted at #9 on the Uraps singles charts.

In October 2012, Caymon announced the Riders of the Night Tour 2013. The tour will visit arenas in the UK and Ireland and also Australia and New Zealand. The tour will begin in Belfast on April 5th 2013 and finish in Sydney, Australia, on May 31st 2013.

Private Life[edit | edit source]

Caymon is the younger brother of fabulous pop singer Jason. Caymon hadn't seen his brother for a whole year as Jason was admitted to a mental asylum in the summer of 2011.

In June 2011, Caymon began dating Urapopstar 12 Winner, Regina Harper. The couple had a baby girl together on January 1st 2012 called Sylvia Doria Kasselbaum Harper Adams. In July 2012, the couple had a very public split over Regina's homophobia outburst. Caymon is now dating pop songstress Ashley!

Acting Career[edit | edit source]

Caymon starred as the main character in The CW show "Playing Preston". He played twin brothers Jamie Banks and Preston Roth for 7 episodes. The show was cancelled after the 8th episode was shot, but it never aired.
