Lyrics[edit | edit source]

[VERSE 1] I see you there, looking at me, You're checking me out, but have you got the moves?

I don't need a man to get me high, When the musics pumping I can touch the sky, But boy you've got something I could use, Give it to me to make me blow my fuse.

[BRIDGE] You don't need stop, nor play, Everybodies their own DJ, 'Cos when the discs start to spin, Everyone in this joint knows what happenin'.

[CHORUS] Oh baby, won't you play, A song on my jukebox, Something, hot, hot hot. (Jukebox) Oh honey, won't you say, You'll put a penny in my slot. (Jukebox) J-U-K-E box. Uh-huh.

[VERSE 2] When you flip your coins, You sure look fine, Heads or tails, you blow my mind.

Oh I don't care for clothes or your bling, Shake your pocket to give me chills, What I care about is hearing that ching ching.

And honey when the needle hits the spot, I wish it'd never stop, Louder, louder, louder, turn the volume up!

[BRIDGE] [CHORUS]

[RAP] So, now you think you're in my crew? You've pushed all the buttons, so? This track better be nice and hot, If you're gonna stand a shot. Watch the crowd, and judge the noise, If it's good, girl meets boy, If it's not, too bad, you flop. I just don't give a damn, Me and my crew are just here to jam, Mister jukebox is my perfect man.

[BRIDGE] [CHORUS TO FADE]

Video[edit | edit source]

The video opens up in a club. A guy walks up to the bar, he looks to his left and sees Nikki sat on a bar stool wearing a mini skirt and boob tube, he smiles at her, she yawns as he reaches out his hand to ask her to dance.

They make their way to the dancefloor. They start to dance, Nikki carries on yawning – she hates the music. Looking across, she sees a jukebox – pointing towards it, the man runs off towards it. He selects the song ‘NIKKI – MY CREW’ and puts in a pound coin, he turns around and Nikki has disappeared.

Now the camera has changed, it’s following the coin through the insides of a jukebox, bouncing off of cogs, it falls down and bounces into an explosion of pink stars as it hits a rotating record.

Nikki magically appears! She’s wearing some new clothes – a long black dress. She dances and sings, sexily she steps over the needle in time with the music as the record continues spinning.

Back outside of the box, the man Nikki was dancing with has spotted her on the video screen of the jukebox, he keeps on piling in the coins.

With each coin he puts in, Nikki slowly loses more and more clothes, until she’s just standing there in her underwear. Licking his lips, the man adds one more coin…

Nikki then turns into a big black man! He keeps putting in more and more coins, each one adding another black man to the screen, they then part, and you see Nikki sitting in the middle of the record, lying there back in her mini skirt and boob tube.

She stands up, the black men lie down as she walks all over them in black stilhettos, she reaches into underneath her mini skirt, and pulls out some leashes, which magically attach themselves to the men… She parades them around like dogs. The man outside the jukebox, obviously jealous starts shaking it!

While he’s shaking it – the record inside crashes to the ground into a mud pit. Luckily Nikki lands on a black mans back, as she performs her rap. She then climbs up the backs of the men, until she reaches a door wire ‘FIRE EXIT’ written above it… She giggles as she goes through!

The man outside the jukebox turns around, and sees Nikki in the middle of a crowd dancing away happily on the dancefloor, he smiles, and starts to run to join her, as we see her sexily touching herself in time to the music.

As he approaches her, from the crowd emerge a group of black guys, who all come up to Nikki, they all start doing some hardcore RnB dances. One even breakdances!

Nikki walks up to the man, and gives him a small push… He stumbles backwards into the Jukebox… Which swallows him up. The video ends looking out from the jukebox, watching Nikki get jiggy with the black guys!

Up, Up and Away (2011) Jukebox (2011)

In 2011, Polish dance diva Kazimiera revived the song for her covers album Under The Covers: Volume 1. She announced "Jukebox" as the second single from the album, set for a release on December 12, 2011.

The video was a departure from the original version, being more Christmas-themed. Kazimiera had practiced skating beforehand, as she was the DJ in Santa's workshop, playing the elves' favourite songs like a jukebox.

The single ended up charting at #6, with sales of 59,376 in its first week.
