Larynx Trasher (25 March, 1980 - 14 February, 2006) is a now deceased former pop singer.

Early Life[edit | edit source]

Little is known about Larynx's childhood, except that he was born on the 25th of March 1980 somewhere in London. He had a normal childhood, however had very few friends at school and was considered an outcast, something which he has referred to in several of his songs. At around the age of 14, he began writing many of his feelings down in the form of songs, and had left home by the time he was 15. He became a struggling musician for nearly seven years, before he was spotted by a Spin Records executive and immediately signed. Somewhere during this time, his son Jordan was born, however the mother of his child is unknown.

Music Career[edit | edit source]

With a huge promotional campaign behind him, Spin Records had high hopes for Larynx. He achieved them and perhaps did better than a lot better than people were expecting, when his debut single "Everybody Hurts" soared into the charts at an impressive #3. It was certified silver and stayed in the charts for a large number of weeks. It was during the promotion for this single that he began a relationship with R&B beauty Alicia. He then followed it up with a second single, "Thinking Of You"" which went into the charts at #8. He got engaged to Alicia, and on Boxing Day 2003 they married.

In April 2004, he returned with a duet with Alesha, which went into the charts at #5 and again was certified silver. After the release of this single, Larynx went missing and was presumed dead by everyone, including his wife Alicia. He then returned, claiming he had locked himself in the cupboard for a month.

In August 2004, Larynx announced a new single and shockingly an album, his debut which was to include all his singles so far. The single, "Heard It All Before" went into the charts at #5, however rose to #4 the week after, and the album "Trashed" followed in its success, reaching #5 and going gold very quickly. During this period of time, he and Alicia went through a bitter divorce where he claimed Alicia molested his child, Jordan. Larynx planned to release one last single from the album, "I'm Gonna Die Tonight" however it was mysteriously pulled just hours before the single hit the shelves. Despite this, the release still went ahead in some countries around Europe and Australia, followed by one last single, "Alien Invasion" which was only an Australian release. Larynx then took time off to write and record a second album.

On 14 February 2006 tragedy struck at Larynx's home in London when he was murdered after having his eyes gouged out by a penknife. Days after his murder, ex-wife Alicia was arrested and consequently charged with his murder after confessing to comitting the crime. She is currently serving a life sentence in prison and was denied bail.
