Lola Marie Elle (born 19 March, 1986) is a British singer, socialite, and recovering drug and alcohol addict. She is best known for being 1/3 of successful girl group Venom. Elle has sold over 900,000 records in the UK and 3,000,000 more worldwide.

Early Life[edit | edit source]

Lola was born on 19 March, 1986 in London, England. Her father, Pierre, is the founder and CEO of popular women's fashion & health magazine Elle. Her mother, Rose, is a former socialite who is now working in finding modeling talent and fashion subsidaries. The family owns houses in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, New York, Seattle and United Kingdom, respectively. Lola has a younger sister named Eva, who is a part of upcoming Los Angeles-based indie rock group The Cobrasnake.

Music[edit | edit source]

Lola is 1/3 of highly-successful girlgroup Venom. In a little over a year, they have released 2 top 5 singles, a top 5 album and 2 other singles - one top 10, one top 15. After releasing their final single from their debut album, Toxic Love, they decided to go on a short hiatus to pursue solo interests early in their career. Many fans were worried that the girls would end up splitting, but they have no plans to break up. Lianna went solo first, releasing her debut single a year after Venom's first single. Individuality went to #1 and Lianna, once the underacknowledged member of Venom, became a huge solo star. Next up was London, popularised as the dumb blonde in the British press. She released her single Spun! (On the Scene), which also hit #1 on the charts. Suddenly, everybody was amazed at how successful the Venom girls had been solo, two of the three achieving their own #1 singles, something the group has not done themselves as of yet. Questions were running about, people wondering if Lola was going to take her shot at solo stardom.

The answer? Yes. Lola announced in February of 2007 that she was officially going solo, after Lianna and London. She admitted that she only decided to go solo after people became interested in her due to the other girls' solo success. She was a bit apprehensive as first, since 2006 was a bit of a rough year for her sobriety-wise, but began to get confident after showing off some songs she had already finished herself.

WINK WINK! (Nudge Nudge!)[edit | edit source]

She chose her first single in the name of WINK WINK! (Nudge Nudge!), a ridiculously catchy sing-along pop song with surf guitar and breakneck beats. Premiered with Jo Whiley, the song received an overwhelmingly postive reaction. Requests to hear the song again were answered and the song was played 3 times more that night. The song was originally set for release on April 2, but had to be pushed back due to Lola being kidnapped (a very long story which includes Lola making friends with a satanist goth named Esteban). ANYHOW, WINK WINK! (Nudge Nudge!) was released on April 23 and peaked at #2 in the charts.

Hierarchy[edit | edit source]

Hierarchy is Lola Elle's debut album, written completely by her bar one song, which hit stores on May 07, 2007. The album features the first single, the catchy WINK WINK! (Nudge Nudge!).
