Biography[edit | edit source]

Born in London, Lucreacia wasn't the most welcome of arrivals. Her mother Audrey, was already over 40 years old and in the midst of a rocky relationship with Lucreacia's father. Come the end of the year, the couple had broken up, and Audrey fled with Lucreacia and her older brother to LA in America, where Audrey had relatives, she worked as a receptionist during the day, and sang in a local bar every other weekend. Here was when the story of Lucreacia really began.

Despite the eventful start to life, Lucreacia had a happy childhood, but it was all about the change following the birth of her sister Nikki, Audrey swiftly moved away, and back to England, this time in Brighton. Nobody knows why, but reports suggest that Audrey had become heavily involved with the wrong people, some say she started a rough relationship with a drug dealer, others say that she dabbled with prostitution. Either way, something forced the whole family to flee back to England, by the sea, in Brighton.

Having been forced to start afresh, the seven year old Lucreacia began throwing herself into drama, telling people that she was going to become a movie star. This carried on for many years, Lucreacia attending drama classes, and carrying on with her normal schooling. When she was 16, to pay for her classes, she became interested in modeling, where she partook in many low key modeling jobs, in various clothes catalogues and such; Lucreacia loved the attention, and for a while pursued this line of work, but before she could get too far up the ladder, she became repeatedly knocked down. Her face was reportedly "too fat" to be a serious model. This kick-started a serious paranoia in the 18 year old, who quickly ditched all attempts at becoming a model, and became more reclusive, only going out for her drama classes, but even they had become to pale & her interest again had waned. "She just stopped coming, bothering, or anything; It was a shame, she could have been a fantastic actress had she kept at it, she has a natural flare, and I'm really not surprised to see her making cameos in various films, her talent shows, and I do believe she could be an A-List movie star, had she stuck at it." her old drama teacher said.

Now working as a 20 year old part-time waitress, the Lucreacia was about to experience her most life changing event, she was about to come out of her shell, and become the Lucreacia we know and love - She was going to fall in love.

Though Lucreacia has never explicitly said so, she did fall head over heels in love with an older man, something that affected her deeply. Many of her lyrics have references to being unchained, set free; And this is the man who did it. She began a three month long, whirlwind romance with a man she thought she would spend the rest of her life with. His name is unknown, but he deeply affected her, and taught her to love herself. In the past she accepted she was "good, but never the best", that attitude changed over night; she began to believe herself - Until the relationship died. Citing differences, the split was amicable, but truth to be told, Lucreacia was heartbroken, and thrust into a helplessness she hadn't felt before. But she was quick to pull herself together, and throw herself once again into her career - This time she wanted to be a singer!

Finally Lucreacia had learnt love herself - But now she had to make others love her too. Relatively ignored through her life, she now took it into her own hands to make something of herself. She wanted to be loved, and she wanted to be loved big time, and her way of being loved on a large scale, was on stage, at a concert, with fans screaming your name. From that moment on, she worked her arse off - she had her goal, she wanted world domination. First though, she needed a recording contract.

With her new found passion, she took up singing lessons - improving her voice. She'd never paid much attention to her singing voice before, and was soon surprised by its strength, but her singing teacher more noted the passion she put into her songs. She's never had the strongest voice in the world, and never will, but she was able to convey herself well. This was followed by many attempts to get a contract, sending out demos, finally she had a response from EMI, who asked to see her.

She traveled up to London in Spring 2002, dressed in a denim skirt, and low cut white shirt, with cleavage suitably arranged - She sang her own version of Amalia's #1 hit Far Away. EMI weren't complete convinced by her vocals, but complimented her looks and personality, and signed her for a 2 single deal, with an extension depending on their success.

EMI set Lucreacia up with various writers to work with, but Lucreacia shunned all tracks, in favour of her own material, she decided upon her first single Deep Inside Me come late Spring, with EMI supporting the projecting, citing that the single was perfect for the summer. August was the decided launch date.

The launch was a disappointment. Lucreacia was launched amid a rush of brand new female artists, despite her sexy look, and raunchy video that featured her rolling around in the sand lots. Deep Inside Me entered the charts at #17, with little fanfare, she had crept into the top 20. The only market that Lucreacia had performed well in, was the gay market, where remixes of the song were being constantly played, to cash in on this, an extra CD single was issued - a remix CD, which pushed the single up to a new peak of #16, while the song spent a total of 8 weeks top 40, it wasn't a hit, nor was it enough to keep EMI satisfied.

Lucreacia needed attention, and she needed it big time if she was going to be a star, so she wrote the suggestive Stick Your Finger In It, which initially EMI refused to release, but Lucreacia's skills of persuasion came through, and they agreed to release it, on a far lower budget than Deep Inside Me. While no runaway success, it was a top 10 hit at #9. And now EMI realised they were working with a star whose status was ever moving upwards, and were desperate for Lucreacia to follow it up with an album. It wasn't to be.

Sick of the company that had made her, Lucreacia ditched their contracts they sent her, for £3,000,000 deal with SoURBAN for 3 albums, and with her pay check bought the rights to all her material recorded at EMI. She recorded her debut album Dark Lady, and released 3 more singles - Sugar Sugar (written by her close industry friend Buffi); this was the song that broke her, breaking all expectations and going top 5 for 2 weeks, beating huge artists Lucreacia had become a household name. She followed it up with a cover of Sisters Are Doing it For Themselves, a duet with Buffi and A*, and then the last single from the album - the title track Dark Lady.

At the URAPS AWARDS 5, Lucreacia won her first 2 awards - BEST NEWCOMER, along with BEST VIDEO (For Sisters...), along with performing her single "Dark Lady". The album was a success, going multi platinum, yet, she still didn't have what she craved - a #1.

Tom Owen began advertising for duet partners for his latest album, and Lucreacia signed up, they decided to cover Where the Wild Roses Grow, instantly loving the track Lucreacia asked to release it, Tom Owen initially turned her down, favouring bigger duets with bigger artists such as Ryan Simmonds. Lucreacia literally begged for the song to be released, and promised him the biggest hit of their career. So he agreed.

The single was #1; She had what she wanted, and now she didn't want to stop. Returning to the studio, she decided it was time to revamp her image, she ditched the slutty songstress image, in favour for a harder image. Revealing her album to be "kinda indie"; The album wasn't indie in the slightest, but Lucreacia liked to say it was, desperate to be taken seriously, she launched the most important single of her career Sunny Day La La, complete with expensive multi-million pound video. The single was a huge success, and soon became the biggest selling single of the year (only to be later be beaten to that title by Lucreacia's last release from Hardcore.) The album naturally debuted at #1.

After this, they kept on following - Only Words, I Want That Man / Slut Trash Woman, Hoochiefied Disco Ball & Every Star / Hardcore. She had 5 #1 singles from one album. It was an outstanding success, but again, Lucreacia wasn't happy with her label, SoURBAN had been experiencing difficulties, and had pretty much left Lucreacia to her own devices - she wanted to leave and break her contract - so in true Lucreacia fashion, she did! The court battle was a long, but private one, which resulted in Lucreacia winning the right to leave her contract due to being neglected, and was also allowed to purchase the rights to all her music at a discounted price, which she did - earning her millions of pounds a year from royalties alone.

Lucreacia signed with ex.nation, an up and coming label, turning down big money offers, she signed for "free". Yet Lucreacia, knowing herself to be able to sell extremely well, signed for free, but has a royalty rate estimated at around 70% ensuring for each CD she sells, she more than makes her money. Infect, after her huge sell out tour, she was estimated to be worth around £120,000,000, following huge endorsement deals and sales.

She went on to record a Christmas single, which went again to #1, this time for 2 weeks. After success in such a short space of time, Lucreacia decided it was best to take time off, to ensure the public didn't tire of her. She finished off her European tour, and recorded her 3rd album - Discology.

Discology and the lead single Reputation both went to #1, and the second single Dark Lady Part.2 also went to #1, despite initially charting at #3. Fearing the concept album was already losing steam, Lucreacia decided to pull the plug and give it a send off with a final single, a special edition of the album, and a tour. The single, I Paralyze went to #1 and the tour was a sell-out. ex.nation hadn't given Lucreacia quite what she wanted during the Discology promotion, and in true Lucreacia fashion ditched them.

In 2005, Lucreacia put the finishing touches to her heavily anticipated and delayed 4th album, reported to be her personal "masterpiece". The album was called Vicious, the first released on her own personal label, Royal Records, and the first single, Vicious Circle, was a charity ballad which naturally reached #1. This was followed by Throw Down!, where Lucreacia threw it down to show she was a true survivor in the video. Despite big competition from artists such as Miss Drips and Taylor Brookes, Lucreacia still managed to get #1 in a close race.

Lucreacia had planned the very personal track No Longer as the next single from Vicious, and let the fans decide the other side of what would become a double A-side single; the fans decided for Burn. The single, Burn/No Longer, would become yet another #1 for Lucreacia, beating out competitors such as Jack Stevens, Justin Case and Dr. C and the Predicates.

Lucreacia wasted no time recording another album, but this one was a little different. Symphony, a collection of previously released ballads along with rarities and new songs, would become her next project; the first single was another duet. Jack Stevens would duet with Lucreacia on her next single, the Valentine's Day ballad First, Last and Only. Despite giving it their all, it would lose out to #1 in one of the most shocking upsets ever, as Allyseenah and Morris D Cat beat her out with their duet FIX!/All That Matters. The single did climb to #1 in the week after, but made Lucreacia realize she needed to wait a while before releasing again.

Lucreacia's most recent appearance was on Buffi's latest album, Pill Queen, where she contributed vocals to the song Bastard. It was released as a single, and gave Lucreacia her first featuring credit on a #1 single.

The future is currently uncertain in regards to Lucreacia's musical career. Her fifth album was repeatedly delayed until it disappeared off of all industry release schedules, this is despite being rumoured to be completed as of as early as 2007. Some say the self proclaimed Queen of Uraps is taking a prolonged break, while other rumours suggest she has left the music industry completely.
