2011[edit | edit source]

In 2011, Blacklight Records announced that they signed a young, 19 year old singer who wishes to release music in the Urban and Pop direction. She worked with many producers to create her bubbly, pop and R&B sound. The result of this was her first single Get Over It which was a top ten hit for Savana. Despite Savana being disappointed with the sales of the track, she carried on to release her second single, which was The Mist which hit the top five; a hit for Savana. The singer then gave us Far To Go which was released with her album, Speechless Words.

The album went straight to number one, a surprise for both Savana and her record label. Savana spoke about her album at a press call, "The album is for those who don't know how to say what they feel in a relationship, whether it's a friendship, a boyfriend, girlfriend whatever, it's the things you want to say, but can't word, hence the titled 'Speechless Words'.

Savana took the albums success and did signings and a tour was planned, but didn't go ahead due to personal reasons. These are rumoured to be the issues about her weight and appearance, something Savana got a lot of bad comment for. Close sources say she went to various hospitals and therapists to help her control her depression and even suicidal thoughts she had because of the bad attention and constant verbal abuse she was receiving from journalists, haters and other people in the public eye.

Savana's doctors and related people also confirmed she was on way to a 'healthy recovery' after suffering from seveare depression, the confirmed reason for her absence in 2011 and 2012.
