Her critically acclaimed debut album "The Damage Is Already Done" soon followed and was released on March 6th, 2006. The platinum certified album spawned three top 10 hits.

Tiara's career has been taken to new heights following the release of her diamond selling sophomore album, "Beauty And The Beat." The album has spawned hit singles such as "If I Was A Freak/Beauty And The Beat," the #1 singles, "One" and "That Girl (Dangerous), and most recently "Not Another Club Song."

Early Life[edit | edit source]

Tiara was born on November 1st, 1985 in Atlanta, Georgia. She is the only child of Maurice and Jackie Coles. Tiara says she always had an interest in music since the age of three when she began to dance around the house to every song on that came on the radio. As Tiara grew into her teens, she dreamed of becoming a famous singer and dancer. Tiara later joined a girl group by the name of Mosaiq and they began recording demos. The group later began to have creative differences which eventually led Tiara to leave the group to pursue a solo career. Tiara continued to write songs as she held on to her dream of making it, until she got her big break right after graduating from high school in 2003, when she was signed to an exclusive management deal and began to write for her debut album.

First Record Deal, Debut, and Drama[edit | edit source]

Tiara's manager soon got her a meeting at Tigerstar Records where she auditioned for pop superstar Malena. Malena liked Tiara and decided to sign her to a contract, Tiara then began production on her debut album for the label. Tiara released her official debut single, the ballad "We'll Be Together Again" on November 21st, the single then charted at #19 making it Tiara's first top 20 hit. It was later revealed that Tiara was never fully behind the single choice as she wanted to release something else but the label had the final decision and "We'll Be Together Again" was released. Tiara then announced plans for her debut album as well as a second single to hit stores before the album, "Itch The Chick." As the release of both the album and single got closer, it was announced that Tiara and Tigerstar Records had parted ways and that the releases were cancelled. Tiara has said that her reasoning for this is because the original album was not a accurate impression of herself and that she wasn't given enough creative control. Tiara then went back into the studio to re-do a lot of the album, adding, removing, and re-doing some songs as she looked for another label.

The Damage Is Already Done[edit | edit source]

As she finished her album, Tiara ended up signing with now defunct label, Plat'num Records. Soon after signing with the label, Tiara released her debut album "The Damage Is Already Done" which hit stores on March 6th, led by her top 10 hit single, "Gangsta Grillz." The release of the album and single led to a new beginning for Tiara as fans finally began to see her true personality and got to know her as an artist.
