Burn is Moodring's 10th UK single and sixth to be released on Fusion Records. It is the second to be released from their second album, Soul and was released on August 13, 2012. It charted at #3. Burn is Moodring's biggest selling single to date.
Background[edit | edit source]
Burn was written back in 2010, around the same time as previous single Loving Me To Death, which made the Mood Swings reissue. The rest of the session tracks were kept back for the second album. The version of Burn released as the single is actually a mash up of two tracks, Burn [Part I] and Burn [Part II] which both appear on Soul.
Release and reception[edit | edit source]
Burn was said to be yet another musically credible release from Moodring, again being praised at being more adult and mature. Due to having two music videos and being promoted on tour, it was described as "Epic" by fans and critics alike.
Promotion[edit | edit source]
The main promotional tool was the tour, where the song was performed and the video played beforehand. "Fire" A B side was also included on the URAPS Goes for Gold compilation.
Music video[edit | edit source]
Burn had two music videos, the first being a regular music video, the second a cinematic mini-feature movie which involved the girls acting. This video was only available to watch in cinemas on August 6 and before each night of the Moodring tour.
