"CTRL+ALT+DELETE+U" is a song by Australian singer/songwriter Jason from his third studio album A Dangerous Game. On June 16th 2014, a week before the album release, "CTRL+ALT+DELETE+U" was released as an iTunes-exclusive promo single, complete with a music video directed by Kinga Burza.
Jason described the song as "a letter, or seeing as it's 2014, a text-message you send to someone to let them know you want them out of your life. Deleted. Gone. Poof. It's over and it's as simple as that. But, you don't exactly want to see them hurt so you wish it was as easy as pressing CTRL+ALT+DELETE on the relationship and forgetting it ever happened".

Development and release[edit | edit source]
The music video for the track was filmed on location in Los Angeles and was directed by Kinga Burza. It was filmed and edited in two weeks and the final version was completed only two days before "CTRL+ALT+DELETE+U" was released as a promo single on June 16th.
Synopsis[edit | edit source]
The video begins with Jason seen in an alleyway arguing with someone over the phone. He says "Look, I can't go over this again, I'm fed up, I just-". His face turns to one of shock as he looks at his phone screen to see the person has hung up. The track begins playing and Jason makes his way to a skate-park as the sun is setting and he hangs out with friends.
Other scenes include the singer taking part in street dancing for money, singing the song in front of a projection screen and attending a house party at night time. Throughout all these different scenes, Jason continuously ignores his phone every time it rings.
The video is noted for its heavy use of special effects, including colourful gradient overlays and numerous luminous flashing images.
