"Forget the Times" was written by Elice Claire and produced by Twisted Disco. The track which is a collaboration with pop superstar Claire Kitten is a mid-tempo ballad about breaking someone's heart for leaving. Lyrically, "Forget The Times"'s narrative has Elice telling her boyfriend to let her go, saying that they can't be friends because "trying to forget someone you love is like trying to remember someone you never knew".The song was one of the tracks featured on the iTunes Countdown to Intimate Encounters. The track was added to iTunes on 24 October 2009.

The music features a tom drum, strings, a snare drum, a splash cymbal, an electric guitar, and piano arrangements to create a soft rock tune with classical and R&B influences.

"Forget the Times" has received overwhelmingly positive reviews overall, and is popularly regarded as one of the musical and lyrical highlights of the album. Rolling Stone called the song a "mixture of old school and some romantic comedy theme song, delivered together in a true Elice Claire and Claire Kitten fashion...Elice & Claire spits emotion and heart into a song that makes me want to curl up in a blanket and long for someone".
