Guilty as Charged is the debut album by British all-female rock band Innocent. It was released in the United Kingdom on March 1, 2004 by breathemusic, and re-issued in July. Innocent wrote a majority of the album's lyrics themselves, relying on their label's in-house producers for production. Largely composed of ballads and uptempo pop rock songs, the album also features R&B ("That's What a Man Should Be") and country ("Man of My Dreams") influences.
Upon its release, Guilty as Charged received mixed reviews from contemporary music critics, who noted a certain amount of filler. The album yielded four singles, including the top three hit "Overload" and the number one single "That's What a Man Should Be". Having entered the albums chart at number three alongside "Overload," the album rose to number one with Innocent's first number one and was certified triple-platinum.
