"Higher" is the third International single from Isaac Bellamy's debut international album Makings of a Man. The song is written Isaac Bellamy and produced by J. R. Rotem. The single was released in the UK on 24 June 2013. The single entered the charts at number two, selling 102,585 copies in its first week. As of 1 September, the single has sold 400,616 copies, making it Bellamy's best seller to date.

Background[edit | edit source]

Initially planned to be released as a digital promotional single, 'Higher' was made eligible to chart on the official UK singles chart a week prior to its release. Bellamy's record label sent the song to UK radios three weeks prior to the release, and the song proved to be a strong contender for 2013's summer song. To promote the single, Isaac Bellamy flew to the UK to do radio and TV appearances. The single is also being used to promote Bellamy's first UK headlining tour in July.

Promotion[edit | edit source]

Next Generation Records sent the song to radios on June 3, 2013. On that same week, Bellamy flew from Paris to London to begin promotion for the single. The French singer stopped by Capital FM on June 7 for an interview and to officially premiere the single. On June 8 and 9, Bellamy did various phone interviews with different British radios. On June 15, Capital TV began airing an exclusive lyrics video of 'Higher' on their station. On 18 June, Bellamy appeared on GMTV for an interview and performance. on 21 June, Bellamy appeared on This Morning for an interview.

A live performance from Isaac Bellamy's French tour was used as the promotional video for the song. The video also shows backstage footage from Bellamy's tour. The video is being used to promote the single and Bellamy's first UK tour.
