Initially expected to be a low-key final single release from her Diamond-selling self-titled debut album, "Imposter Syndrome" was released February 25, 2022. The song was written and produced by rock superstar Riker Allen, and fused elements of electropop, ska, and reggae. Despite few formats released, the single was a strong seller throughout 2022, helping lift its parent album rise back to #2.

"Imposter Syndrome" initially debuted at #2 in the UK, reversing the downward trajectory of her previous singles in the charts, narrowly missing the top spot by less than 3400 copies. The single remained at #2 in its second week, before climbing to #1 in its third week, posting its highest sales yet, at just under 77,000 copies. In its fourth week, "Imposter Syndrome" fell back to #2 behind Shell Ruin's single "Full Moon (Lost Remix)", despite posting a modest sales increase over the previous week. In its fifth week, the single fell to #5. The single sold consistently throughout 2022, eventually going Platinum, selling over 515,000 copies.
