Jason Adams (Born April 13th, 1989)  — often known simply as Jason  — is a male popstar from Australia. Apart from being a singer, he is also a songwriter and a model. He took a musical hiatus in the summer of 2011 and returned in 2013 with his second album, Trouble.

In summer 2014, Jason released his anticipated third studio album A Dangerous Game to huge critical acclaim and success. The album was produced entirely by Xenomania and charted at #1 in the UK. The album spawned two hit singles. A couple of months later, Jason released his first hits collection Psychedelia.

Jason returned with his fourth studio album Dirty Pop in June 2015.

Early Life[edit | edit source]

Jason was born to a British mother and Australian father in Sydney, Australia on April 13th 1989. After 12 years living down under, the family moved to Wales after the death of Jason's grandmother (his mother's mother). From a very young age, Jason was always musical and his dream as a child was to become a popstar. He played many gigs from the age of 13 up until he was discovered.

He is the older brother of very successful pop singer Caymon. The pair were very close growing up and often sang together in school productions and local talent contests. He has an older brother, Zack who is an actor.

2011 - Veins[edit | edit source]

One day, superstar Bella-May discovered him on YouTube and thought he had 'something special'. Bella-May called him up and offered him a record contract with her label, Vampire Crypt Records.

Jason Adams' debut single, 'Sabotage' was for a release on 24th January 2011. The song charted at #11 on the URAPS singles chart, thus having mederate success. His 2nd single, 'OGC' was released on March 28 and stormed the charts at #4. The same weak, Jason's debut album Veins peaked at #1. The third single taken from the album was 'You Were The One' in May 2011. The album's final release was supposed to be 'Gagging For It' which featured female vocalist Kleo, but plans were cancelled due to the under-performance of previous single, "You Were The One".

In April 2011, superstar 4tune publicly 'adopted' Jason, claiming he was "cute" and said that she could "make a superstar out of him". Since then, it has been said by Jason that the adoption was a publicity stunt in order to boost his celebrity profile. Jason (alongside Candi) supported 4tune on her Disco rehab: future dirty disco sound tour.

2013 - Trouble[edit | edit source]

Jason returned to the scene in April 2013, announcing a brand new single "...Now Kiss!". The Diplo + Switch produced track was received well amongst fans and critics and charted at #5 in the UK. It went on to sell 169,961 copies, becoming quite a success for him. On September 9th 2013, he released the album's second single, "Arrow", which charted at #8. Trouble entered the charts at #1 and was certified gold only a few months after it's release.

In December 2013, Jason embarked on his Trouble Tour, visiting six venues in the United Kingdom and Ireland. He performed all of the album's tracks as well as his previous singles and two cover versions.

2014 - A Dangerous Game[edit | edit source]

In May 2014, Jason announced the release of a new single, "Eyeliner", and album A Dangerous Game. The entire album was produced by Xenomania and was critically acclaimed upon it's release.

Personal Life[edit | edit source]

In early 2011, Jason came out as homosexual and began a relationship with fellow singer Chris Diamond until Diamond was shot dead in March 2011. After this, Jason admitted to suffering from depression for weeks and admitted to being in love with Diamond.

In summer 2011, Jason suffered from a very public hypomanic episode (in which he was caught sleeping with pop singer Iris) and was forced to admit to suffering from bipolar affective disorder, something he wished not to reveal due to the damage it could do to his career. After this, he decided to take a year-long break from the music industry.
