Confessions From The Heartbreak Hotel[edit | edit source]
The debut album, Confessions From The Heartbreak Hotel was released on 4 July 2005 backed by the lead single Everytime My Heart Breaks. Both the single and album were modest successes upon initial release. The single established Kelly on the music scene and provided what would become a loyal fanbase. The second single, (There's A Little Piece Of Me) Stuck With You was released in August 2005 and became an even bigger success becoming Kelly's first Top 10 hit entering at #8. Kelly followed up with No Way Out and My Turn Now which charted at #11 and #12, respectively.
In Another Life[edit | edit source]
In Another Life is the sophomore release from Kelly. The lead single, When It All Comes Back became a fan favorite and recieved a massive amount of airplay. Released 27 March 2006, the single charted at #7. Leaving fans wanting more, Kelly didn't release the second single until June. Sunrise, a ballad version of the Angel City dance track, was chosen and was released on 19 June 2006. After a substantial promotional period, the single entered the charts at #2 and is the current high-selling single for Kelly. In August, Alias released the third and final single With You Tonight. Fans were upset with Alias' choice to only release three singles from the album, claiming it was one of the finest albums of the year. The album outsold and outpeaked the previous album charting as high as #4 in June 2006.
The Words I Left Unspoken[edit | edit source]
After signing an extended record deal with Alias Records, Kelly released The Words I Left Unspoken on 15 January 2007. The lead single The Way We Were is a delicate love story with an melodic tempo. Loyal fans instantly supported Kelly's new material, however, it entered at a disappointingly low #17. The following week it rose to #10.
Alias was disappointed with record sales, especially coming off of the massive success of In Another Life. They sent Kelly back into the studio to record two additional tracks and reissued the album on 30 April 2007. The second single Gone proved to be a return to form reminiscent of the success she saw with the 2006 hit single Sunrise. Gone went straight in at #3 and has since became her best selling single to date. Following the massive success of the single, Alias planned to release Nothing Left To Say on 16 July 2006, however, due to personal family issues, Kelly announced in early June that she will indefinately be leaving her career until things shape up. Subsequently, Nothing Left To Say was cancelled.
The Words I Left Unspoken has shifted over 250,000 copies. The majority of the copies sold were those of the reissued version due to the sparked interest during the promotion for Gone.
