Plot[edit | edit source]
In the neon-lit underbelly of 1980's Los Angeles, Ramona Flores (Emily Henning), a talented exotic dancer, thrives amidst the glitter and glamour of the night. Her mesmerizing performances make her the star of the club and the center of attention in a city teeming with secrets.
One fateful night, the club's seductive ambiance shatters when Ramona witnesses a chilling murder, the victim none other than a feared mobster. The crime unfolds before her eyes, committed by a corrupt police lieutenant, Detective Victor Marino. Panicking, Ramona becomes an accidental eyewitness, unwittingly entangled in a world of crime and corruption.
As news of the murder spreads, Ramona realizes that she is the sole witness to the crime, and her life takes a terrifying turn. Both the ruthless LA Mafia, led by the menacing Don Marco "The Snake" Serpico, and the corrupt LAPD, under Detective Marino's control, see Ramona as a threat to their operations.
With nowhere to turn, Ramona goes on the run, trying to evade the relentless pursuit of the mafia and the police. She seeks refuge in the dark corners of the city, seeking help from unlikely allies, including a charismatic but mysterious underground hustler, Max, and her loyal friend and fellow dancer, Rosa.
As the web of deceit and danger tightens around her, Ramona finds herself caught between two powerful, ruthless forces. She must navigate a treacherous path, using her wits and charm to stay one step ahead of those who want her silenced.
Liar takes viewers on a suspenseful journey through the gritty streets of 1980's Los Angeles, where the line between truth and deception blurs, and the price of survival is measured in secrets and betrayal. With Emily Henning's powerful performance as Ramona Flores, the film explores the limits of one woman's courage in the face of overwhelming adversity, deceit, and danger.
In a city built on lies, Ramona must become the ultimate "Liar" to survive. Will she outwit the mafia and the LAPD, or will her secrets become her downfall in this thrilling crime film?
