Mess
Mess is a single from Tara J and Esmeralda Dimuzio, which was third single taken from Tara's album Release Some Tension. The original album version featured Neyssa, but when it came time for a single release, she was unable to release it, so Esmeralda got her vocals on it. This was the fourth and final duet in her duet series, and charted at #5. The attitude Esmeralda displays on this song helped influence the direction of her follow-up album, Riptide. The track was later featured in Esmeralda's greatest hits package.
Chart Performance[edit | edit source]
Released on July 10, 2006, "Mess" entered at #6 upon release and climbed to its peak of #5 the following week. Despite the second week rise, it's first week sales of 47,532 were it's largest sales week. The single went on to sell nearly 134,000 copies and was certified silver. The single went on to become wildly popular for it's infectious beat and edgy lyrics and is one of Tara's biggest-selling singles of her career.
