Next Generation Records, also known simply as (The) Next Generation or NG, is one of the 'big three' record labels, originally founded by British rapper Coral Harris. Headquartered in London, England, Next Generation was established in April 2012. The label was formed as Harris originally turned down many record offers, claiming the only other labels were either tailored to 'mainstream acts' or 'indie acts', and claimed their was a gap in the industry for "cool, young acts".
Next Generation Records was officially established on April 04, 2012. Coral Harris created the company, and was known at the time to put all off her money into the bussiness. The first artists to be signed besides Harris were two boybands from the massively successful reality show The Uraps Factor, Jetfire and Kicks. Coral also managed to sign on the massively succesful Brett Clarkson the same month. After this signing, Coral made another big signing, hiring Kleo as her assistant chief executive. May saw Iris being signed, as well as newcomer Olivia Faye. Isaac Bellamy, Calvin Hawthorne and Electra have since been signed. In February 2013, Coral dropped her first act from the label, Kicks. Since then, Belladonna, Victory and Dahlia have joined the label. In 2013, Belladonna left the label when they disbanded. Dakota Prescott is the latest act signed.
