Background[edit | edit source]

When Ella finished her final movie in August 2012, she had already decided she wanted a change in life and decide to pursue a singing career. She managed to get a record contract secretly and began to meet in with producers in late 2012 and early 2013. In Spring of 2013, she began recording the album and decided that she wanted to release a 'taster' track. "Burnin' Up" was released in the UK first and was received with positive reviews from both fans and critics. This then led to the track being made available worldwide on iTunes.
