Series Synopsis[edit | edit source]
Jamie Banks (Caymon) is in his senior year in John Martin High School, Melbourne. One day, Jamie bumps into someone and spills coffee all over them. This person is Preston Roth (also played by Caymon). Before Jamie can say anything, Preston runs off. Seven months later and Jamie can still remember the incident very clearly. He knows that this person had to be a twin or sibling of his. He just had to be. He questions his mother who laughs and tells Jamie he was always an only child. "Maybe he just looked a lot like you, sweety?" She said "That happens to a lot of people, you know!". But Jamie is still not convinced. He wants to go in search of this guy. But it turns out he doesn't have to. He wakes up one night to find the guy from seven months ago at the foot of his bed. The young man says his name is Preston Roth and askes Jamie to follow him outside. They take a cab out to the suburbs of Sydney where Preston lives with his extremely wealthy family. "We're obviously twins" Says Preston "But how come we weren't told about this?". Preston informs Jamie of a plan. He wants the two boys to swap places for a while so they can both search for 'clues'. Clues that the other may not have noticed in the familiar surroundings of their homes. "Why can't we tell our parents we KNOW that the other exists?" Asks Jamie. "It's not as simple as that, just trust me" Replies Preston. Jamie agrees to swap places with him.
But one week into the swap, which Jamie was finding a bit of a challenge, he finds out that Preston has gone missing. He overhears Preston's dad on the phone saying "I don't care if Jamie has disappeared, he's not my problem and he never was." before hanging up.Jamie's had enough and tries to escape that night only to have someone shoot at him through his bedroom window. He dodges the shot, but is left slightly shaken and confused at what had just happened. Preston's older sister Jenna finds Jamie (who she thinks is Preston) shaking in his room and consoles him. Jamie is certain he's seen her before, but is not sure where from. Jamie decides to take matters into his own hands and continue preteding to be Preston while trying to unearth the deadly secret that has been buried for 18 years, one that will change absolutley everything when it is discovered.
