"Seize the Spark" is a song by Elice Claire from her second album Intimate Encounters.
Song information[edit | edit source]
"Seize the Spark" was written by Elice Claire and produced by Venux Musik. The song uses instrumental samples from Ayumi Hamasaki's "Sparkle". The song was one of the tracks featured on the iTunes Countdown to Intimate Encounters. The track was added to iTunes on 15 October 2009.
Structure[edit | edit source]
The track is a Club oriented song with Dance Pop and electronic influences. It speaks, like some of the songs on Intimate Encounters about sexual interests. It's an upbeat song about a guy's desire to get under a girl under pants.
Reception[edit | edit source]
The song received mixed reviews by critics and fans. Perez Hilton posted the song on his blog the same day that the song was added to the UK and US iTunes. Hilton describes the song as "vulgar and vile" citing the line "He's the gas pump and i guess i'll be the empty tank" as vile and disgusting. Some critics however described the song as a "great choice for a single" due to the upbeat style of the song, saying it that it could possibly be a club and radio success if well promoted. Claire fans seemed to have enjoyed the song, but they believe that the single could've done better.
Performances[edit | edit source]
The song was performed on a few events, most importantly in a few concert shows from Elice's Strictly Censored Tour.
