Slave To The Music is the second single from Esmeralda Dimuzio's #1 album Unfinished Business, and her 21st single overall. It's been described as a club-friendly dance tune, different from most of the other tracks on the album.
The song was said to be an ideal single choice, and one Esmeralda had in mind to be a single when writing it.
Promotion[edit | edit source]
During the promotion for "Slave To The Music", Esmeralda had been hospitalized due to alcohol poisoning, but was released earlier than expected due to her trainer accompanying her. This single also got her tabloid attention, by claiming that her hospitalization was a lie and that her trainer was nothing but a dildo! Esmeralda also signed up on Twitter during the promotional campaign for this single.
Video[edit | edit source]
The video premiered on POP BOX; Esmeralda hired a stunt pilot to appear in it for the skywriting scene near the end. Sophie Ramone also made a cameo appearance in the video; in response to her cameo appearance, Esmeralda covered her #1 hit Lies That My Lover Told Me as one of this single's B-sides.
Chart performance[edit | edit source]
The single debuted at #2 on the week of May 10, 2009, trailing only Emily Henning.
