"Think Twice, Think Thrice" is a collaborative single by country singer Lindsay Belle and pop artist Elice Claire, which features on their respective re-issued albums, Sunset Next To Oklahoma and Strictly Confidential. It will be released on June 15, 2009.

Song Information[edit | edit source]

"Think Twice, Think Thrice" is a collaborative single by country singer Lindsay Belle and pop artist Elice Claire. It was written by Belle specially for a duet between herself and Claire. Produced by country hit-maker Mark Bright, who's known for his songwriting and production for the award-winning songs "Before He Cheats" and "Jesus Take The Wheel", this track is very country-rock influenced. Many compared this to "Before He Cheats" as it talks about two women (mainly Elice & Lindsay) being empowered feminists who's not afraid to put men down.

Release and Reception[edit | edit source]

The single received rave reviews by American critics even before it's official release. Radio station Z100 in New York City was the first station to exclusively play the entire song in the country. After it's first play, votes poured in, but z100 was unable to play the song as the label strictly asked the station not to put in it's play-list until further notice.
In the UK, PopJustice called the single a "country crossover masterpiece...possibly Lindsay Belle's best single ever". Even though blogger Perez Hilton disliked Elice, he praised the song and called it "an instant world wide hit". BBC commented "'Think Twice, Think Thrice' is undoubtedly a Lindsay Belle song, it unveils a more sexy and feisty side we didn't get to see in her yet.".
Billboard Magazine gave the song a good review. Reviewer Chuck Taylor said about the song: "Think Twice, Think Thrice" is an ideal vehicle to fuel horsepower. It's got pop-rock and lots of country into it and Americans loves this. and a vocals that illustrates incomparable power"

Promotion[edit | edit source]

Elice & Lindsay performed the song for the first time at the Urapopstar Awards 16 on 26 April. Both girls also packed up their schedule by adding performance in many UK TV shows, as well as one in the US on Good Morning America (GMA), where Belle will introduce Elice into the US country scene. When Elice was arrested on May 13, singer Kazimiera took Elice's place on Tonight's the Night and on another gig Elice and Lindsay had scheduled, however Kazimiera was not well received by Elice fans, as they paid to see the singer on stage.
The single was officially released to country radios in the fall of 2009 in the United States.
Lindsay also made her first ever appearance on Saturday Night Live also known as SNL, parodying Elice on her jail term. She was seen dressed in a fake wig and gave a cheeky grin whilst taking the mugshot, as well as impersonating Elice on her last single trick and the nose joke. The parody ended with Lindsay being 'released' from jail, did a 2girls1cup and tap-dancing with Elice's real life best-friend Helena Rossi, portrayed by actress Alex Breckenridge. Claire did not take it to heart and thought the parody was absolutely hilarious.
