What You Leave Behind is the first singles compilation by alternative pop duo Indigo Peak spanning their career from 2008-2010. The collection omitted fifth studio album Brand New Blindfold as well as Forget Me which had originally served as a double a side to Song 4 China.
Background[edit | edit source]
Following the critical and commercial failure of "Brand New Blindfold," Indigo Peak ended their relationship with Ensemble Records. Their first release on new label Saturdays was a collection of their previous singles and additional tracks including its lead single "By Any Other Slave." Writing and recording for the album is said to have taken place in early 2010, where the brothers adopted a "grassroots," approach to their writing and production, returning the duo to the electronic sound that had made them popular.
