THE IDOL BATTLE: Look at the Top Ten[edit | edit source]
In every reality show... say X Factor we always have a Diana Vickers or... Chico? Err no. We need a bit of quirks, especially when there's divas, there are rockers, there are RnB chicks... They sound best when you want to pop in a record for Christmas. This year came Cassie Mendez, a teenage rock chic and Simra, the laid-back, almost mysterious contestant who does unique interpretation of songs on the show.
Cassie Mendez, who has the teenage and mass appeal, has been one of the contestant who has gotten rave reviews from the judges. Judge Paulo Araujo called her performance of 'Infernal Superstar' vocally extremely to the point - you don't hear that often from Araujo, who's very particular about vocals, and Mendez might just have that down the pad.
