"Friendzone" is a song by British recording artist Tiger.

Background[edit | edit source]

‘Friendzone’ was originally written and recorded during Summer 2021, during a recording session with the legendary pop producer Erik Lindstrom.

Tiger has confirmed the track is about ‘the fear of telling a friend you have deeper feelings for them’ and many have assumed the track is about his current girlfriend Emily Henning as the pair were friends prior to becoming romantically linked.

Release and reception[edit | edit source]

Tiger performed 'Friendzone' for the first time on the Strictly Come Dancing season finale in late December, and again on the Christmas Day edition of 'Top Of The Pops'. The track was A-Listed on both BBC Radio 1 and Capital FM. Tiger debuted the official video for the single on January 4th, exclusively with MTV UK.
