Ryan Simmonds is a highly successful singer/songwriter. After signing a multi-million pound deal with Ghettoland Records when he was just 18 years old, Simmonds launched his debut album "Brighter Than Dull" to rave reviews, and it clocked up huge record sales. The media mogul spent two and half years dominating headlines and notching up chart hits. To this day, he holds some of Urapopstar's most coveted chart records - Including the first artist to notch up eight No1 singles.

Since's Ryan released his first single, "Boys and Girls", he went on to have three UK No1 albums - "Brighter Than Dull", "Media" and "Unplugged" - "Media" being the second biggest selling in URAPS history!

In 2002, he bought his own record label and married singer Jessika Berqvist, but promptly disappeared from the scene 15 months ago. Following marriage problems, Simmonds was forced to cancel his 2003 CD, "Waiting For Lightning".

July 2004 witnessed the announcement that Simmonds was to return to the music industry and was working on a new album, which was to be released later in 2004. Simmonds stating: I know I'm never going to be able to sell records like I used to. But I love making music, and I should not be stopped from doing so. Even if only a few hundred people buy the album, I'll be happy. I'm back to my old self and I'm ready to show the whole world".'

However the release never occured and Simmonds is yet to make a comeback.
