The Rebelution are a punk-rock band from Manchester who developed a following over the internet craze MySpace. They recently announced that they are to split up following disputes within the band.

Formed in 2004, The Rebelution developed thousands of fans over MySpace, who listened to their songs on their webpage and gave them high praise. This eventually led to them being snapped up by Politik Records at the end of 2005 and were tipped for big things. Their debut single, "These Tears Are Quite Frankly A Fashion Statement" reached #18 on the charts in February 2006, and their second single "A Little Bit Of Blood Never Hurt Anyone" made it to #24 on the UK Charts. They followed that up with "My Head Feels Like You're Banging It Against A Very Hard Wall" which scraped into the charts at #37 and then their album "Emotional Clones" went in at a lowly #39. In November 2006 the band announced they would split up due to large rifts formed in the band.
