Pleasure Island Live is the second headlining solo concert tour by British pop singer Anna Jones, in support of her second studio album Pleasure Island. She performed 14 shows across the United Kingdom.

Background[edit | edit source]

On 12 June 2012, via Anna's official website, her first headlining arena solo tour was announced, saying: "The news you've all been waiting to hear! Anna has just announced her first solo nationwide arena tour, with dates up and down the UK this October." The tour will feature songs from both of her albums, Through The Shadows, and Pleasure Island. Anna also announced plans to do a set of meet and greets at each concert. On the 6th July 2012 Anna took to her official Twitter account asking fans; "(Not including sinlges) which 10 songs from my albums do you HAVE to see live?"

Development[edit | edit source]

Anna spoke about the tour during several interviews. In an interview with We Love Pop she claimed that she would be singing 18 tracks and the stage was "beyond huge". In a Vlog clip uploaded onto YouTube she revealed she was about to undertake dance rehearsals and some of the tracks were very dance heavy. She also claimed that there would be a number of dance breakdowns from some of her most well known tracks. A week before the tour, she took to Twitter to reveal, "Just started production rehearsals and loving the arrangement to Heart", referencing an album track from her first album.
