After finishing second in Uraps Idol to Sleazy Sisters he set to record his debut album. He has so far scored two top five hits and a number one album.

In 2007, Alfie became engaged to his girlfriend Josie Matthews after a rocky relationship. Since they have become engaged their relationship has settled and are expecting a baby in early 2008. Alfie has had numerous affairs since being in the public eye, however he and Josie have always stuck by each other.

Music[edit | edit source]

Early career[edit | edit source]

Alfie always worked as a solo artist perfoming small gigs in pubs and supporting local bands around Yorkshire. When he started University, he met three other friends who were passionate about music, and they formed a band.

Suzie and the Outcasts[edit | edit source]

Alfie was the founding member of Suzie and the Outcasts and initially named the band after himself. They soon recruited a french lead singer called Suzie, who took over Alfie as the leader of the band. After a string of successful singles, Alfie walked out after he felt Suzie was becoming too controlling over his band. They have still kept the name he gave them. He was replaced by a Polish guitarist called Waffle.

Uraps Idol 8[edit | edit source]

After he left Suzie and the Outcasts, Alfie auditioned for Uraps Idol 8. He made it through to the finals, and was considered an outsider for the competition, finishing in the last two for several weeks in a row, however after his strong performance of "Run" by Snow Patrol, the public spared him and was, from here on, a favourite to win. During the final weeks of the competition the public backed Alfie as their favourite, and ened up in the final with Sleazy Sisters. After performing his winners single "Debauched", written for him by Max Walker, Alfie ended up finishing second.

Rock and Roll is Dead[edit | edit source]

After finishing the runner-up on Uraps Idol 8, Alfie promptly began writing and recording his debut album. The majority of this album was written before Alfie had enetered the competition, however he was quickly signed by Ensemble and they helped him to record his album.

The first release from his album was also called Rock and Roll is Dead. After intense promote, where he became involved in a love triangle between his girlfriend Josie Matthews and Alesha, who both had a single out at the same time, the single was a #4 hit single.

Alfie then planned to release his album, however due to complications with the record label, the album did not hit the shelves until after his second release.

Scene It All was the second single from the album. It was an electro-rock track, taking influence from, yet at the same time humouring the new rave movement, the single charted moderatly at #10 following Alfie's lacklustre promotion, which involved his girlfriend Josie Matthews faking her death, and Alfie being the main suspect. The single proceeded to climb to #5, giving the album its second top five single.

The third single from the album is due out on October 1st, and has been selected as the fan favourite Rehab.

Second album[edit | edit source]

No release date has been announced for Alfie's second album, however it is expected in mid-2008 with Alfie already confirming he has almost written the album. It is now being recorded ready for its release.

Publicity[edit | edit source]

Relationships[edit | edit source]

Alfie has been seeing Josie Matthews since April 2007. Although the couple are now engaged, Alfie is rumoured to have had affairs with Alesha and Scarlett Summers off of Sleazy Sisters whilst Josie was "dead".

Alfie denied these affairs in a joint interview with Josie in OK! Magazine.

Affairs[edit | edit source]

During promotion for his debut single, Alfie became involved with Josie Matthews through Alesha, as they met at Alfie's Uraps Idol auditions. Alfie and Alesha were considered drug buddies, however the pair embarked upon an affair, culminating in Alesha driving her car off a bridge in attempt to kill them both. Alesha promptly entered rehab, and Alfie and Josie were back on track.

In June 2007, it was announced that Josie Matthews was dead. Alfie was the main suspect, however he did not kill her. It was then revealed that Alfie was seeing Scarlet Summers, who he was linked with during their series of Uraps Idol. When it was announced Josie was alive, Alfie went straight back to her, and promptly proposed to her.
