"Champagne & Candy Hearts" is an EP by American recording artist Alex Washington.

Background[edit | edit source]

"Champagne & Candy Hearts" was announced as the third single release from Alex Washington's sixth studio album, The Urban Sophisticate. Scheduled to be released in time for Valentine's Day, the track was announced to be heavily remixed for single release, transforming the uptempo dance-pop track into a sultry slow jam. The new mix was packaged alongside the original album version, and three new tracks, creating a "Valentine's Day Suite" and heavily promoted during the 2024 awards season, with performances on both that year's Grammy and BRIT Awards.

Washington courted controversy with a scandalous performance of the track at the BRITs, as a response to being snubbed by the Grammy Awards, despite receiving five nominations.
