Jealous Games is the second single to be released from British/Irish girlgroup Ace Rejects, and their debut single in the Republic of Ireland. It is also the second song to feature from their debut album Shattered Dreams. The track was written by Elice Claire. The single reached Number 1 in both the UK and Ireland. It is the group's most successful single selling over 300,092 singles in the UK

Jealous Games was written by popstar Elice Claire for the girlband, and their first single to be released in the Republic of Ireland. The song was referenced in a number of interviews by the band and band member Kelly Dando has referred to it as her favorite song from the album. The song centres on an ex-friendship and talks about two ex-friends, with one now making up rumors about the other. The song was written around the time of the feud between Ace Rejects and former girl band Trinitia

Critical Reception[edit | edit source]

The song has received universal praise from critics. Critics commented on the lyrics of the song and said they were of a more mature value than those seen in Top of the World. Critics also commented on how the sound fitted more for today's radio and one critic commented that it "pooped all over" the debut single "Top of the World". After being premiered on Radio 1, the song was uploaded to youtube and has so far received 400,000 hits.

The song made it's debut in the UK Charts on Sunday 13 January, when it reached No 2 in the Download chart with first week sales of 25,032. copies sold. The following week, the song debuted at Number 1 in the UK Charts with sales of 92,037 copies sold. This made it the girl's first number one. It outsold it's nearest competitor by nearly 17,000 copies. The song also rose in the Download Chart to No.1 with 37,908 copies being downloaded. The song debuted at Number 4 in the Irish Charts, and was the highest new entry that week. The following week, the single rose to Number 1 in the Irish charts. In it's second week, it dropped to Number 2 in the UK charts selling 75,918 copies, however it was certified Silver. So far, the single has sold over 300,092 copies. The single dropped out of the UK charts after 7 weeks
