Personal Life[edit | edit source]
Personal (1989 - 2011)[edit | edit source]
Sasha was born in Paris, France in 1989 to her parents. Sasha grew up with 2 brothers and a sister in Paris, before moving to England in 1997, when the fluent french speaking singer was 8 years old. The family lived in London for 9 months before moving to Liverpool. Sasha learnt English and was soon very much adapted to a british life. She attended secondary school in Liverpool, and went to Liverpool University in 2007 to study Performing Arts and Music. Sasha graduated in 2011 and moved back in with her family. Later in 2011 She auditioned a second time for The Uraps Factor when she made it through to live shows.
Career[edit | edit source]
The Uraps Factor (2012)[edit | edit source]
Sasha had auditioned in 2009 for the show, but previously didn't get past the audition section. When Sasha auditioned a second time in 2011/2012, she got through bootcamp and judges houses. However, her performance of 'Halo' proved not enough for a placing in the live shows alongside the girls in the group lead by Candi. However, Sasha was selected as a wild card, and made it to the live shows. Sasha performed a number of famous hits, including Paradise by Coldplay, What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) by Kelly Clarkson and more. Sasha was at one point favourite to win the show. After battling through many weeks, Sasha made it to the final where she performed along side her mentor, Candi. Her performances in the final did not prove enough, and she came third to winner, Pandora.
Career after The Uraps Factor (2012 - present)[edit | edit source]
After placing third, Sasha made it clear on her twitter account that she would be working on solo material as she felt The Uraps Factor portrayed her as something she isn't, and that she would like to explore other genres without being 'judged or voted'. Sasha was rumoured to be signed straight after the final, but this was false. However, Sasha took to her youtube account to put up acoustic covers of the songs she performed on the show and a few original tracks she had recorded previously/ before the show. In one of her videos, Sasha told her fans that she has plans to record an EP of songs she has written and created demos for. One of which confirmed for her EP is called 'Who You Thought I Was'. In the background of one of her videos, you can hear this song being produced. As of 2013, Sasha continues to post Youtube covers and independently work on her music, as she remains unsigned.
