Suzie and the Outcasts are a London based band, however are led by French singer Suzie.

They sing predominantly rock music, although have dabbled in theactrical sounds, electro, urban, pop, and country.

They are famed for Suzie's French accent, and her chain smoking habit. It is only known that one other member of their band is Waffle, their new guitarist from Poland.

The beginning[edit | edit source]

Suzie and the Outcasts originally began life as just The Outcasts. They were based in London, but they never really got anywhere. Founder of the band Alfie Outcast recruited Suzie, a singer from France to front the new band. Suzie gained complete control over the band, and renamed them Suzie and the Outcasts.

Music[edit | edit source]

Lets Start A Riot[edit | edit source]

The bands first single release in May 2006. Suzie and the Outcasts exploded onto the scene, causing controversy with Suzie's outrageous views, and her horrible French accent.

Unfortunatley, nobody really responded, and due to this the single was promoted poorly. It limped into the chart at #14. The band were forced to rethink their future.

Coin Operated Boy[edit | edit source]

Suzie's second single was a cover of the Dresden Dolls single of the same name.

The band moved away from their rowdy, attitude packed debut anthem, and this time to a more theatrical emotive song. Promotion was equally scarce, however SOOZ found friends in Alesha, Taylor Brookes and Moya and even helped Moya deliver her "children" the weekend before the singles release. This booster the groups status, and the single reached #12 in July.

Suzie had become motivated, and promised a fully feldged promotional campaign for the bands third release.

Cherry/Open Mic Night[edit | edit source]

Cherry/Open Mic Night is the bands biggest hit. Released in September 2006, Suzie had found her feet within the Uraps community, and felt at ease in throwing her opinions in the direction of the unsuspecting public.

Cherry was a simple track, famed for its constany bassline. Many said Suzie had abandoned her rockstar roots for a more urban direction, however Open Mic Night was an all guns blazing, flat out female rock anthem, penned by Innocent.

It was promoted constantly for little under two months, and Suzie felt injusticed as the track entered in at #6 in its first week. The following week it climbed up to #2.

Why Should I Be Beautiful?[edit | edit source]

The band then released the sensitive ballad Why Should I Be Beautiful? Suzie felt the song raised an important issue about how superficial she finds life. Many agreed, and she promoted the song and message well.

During the course of promotion, the bands founding member Alfie Outcast left, due to Suzie's dictatorship over his band. He later went on to finish second place in Uraps Idol 8.

Suzie and the Outcasts also played a tour with Lipstick Homicide of shopping malls to promote their new singles. Suzie headlined the tour, playing her singles, new songs and a cover of Dancing In The Moonlight with Lipstick Homicide.

The singles promotion thinned towards release, and managed a respectable #7 position. It stayed on the charts for 8 weeks.

Suzie also took part in the Tango challenge.

Red (with Jake)[edit | edit source]

Suzie declared her hatred for the song, which was about domestic abuse. She was partnered with Jake, who was equally bored by the prospect of the song, and evidently reached #16.

Honeytrap[edit | edit source]

Honeytrap was an electro-rock track, taking advantage of the sudden pop revival on Uraps, SOOZ felt the song was a decent representation of the music scene at the time, and was happy to experiment with her sound.

Of course, the band were accused of abandoning their punk/rock roots of early days, and this lost them fans, however they continued with promotion.

Suzie believed her promotion was of decent standard, however the public disgreed, entering the song at #22.

Suzie was distraught, and has declaired a break until late summer however the following week the single climbed into the top 10.

I Am The Mob[edit | edit source]

Suzie has hinted towards a release of the Catatonia track I Am The Mob, however nothing has been officially confirmed.

Her next single will be released July/August.

Tango Challenge[edit | edit source]

The second Tango challenge started in late 2006. Suzie's group contained her band, Kati, Jake, with whom she was eventually partnered, and Dillon Burns.

Suzie wrote a song called "I Wish I Had A Next Door Neighbour" and unsurprisingly, she wasn't voted the winner - Kati was.

Kati selected Dillon to be her Tango partner, leaving Suzie and Jake to ponder over their impending duet.

Neither act was particularly bothered about the task, and Suzie half heartedly stole left over song from her collection, altered it and so Red was born. The song had a lazy video in which neither act appeared, no CD covers, and no TV appearances were made. The acts were said not to have met at any point during the process.

It limped in at #16 and sunk without a trace.

IDOL[edit | edit source]

SOOZ has been confirmed as a judge for new reality show Idol. After a month of judging, SOOZ quit due to her minimal screen time and in her own words "ze shit contestants"
