The Infinite are a 5 piece band who came to prominence during the 2009 Tango Challenge

Formation[edit | edit source]

The Band first came together in 2008 after a chance meeting in the USA. Will DeBastian and Lee Ellis had met in DeBastian's native Swindon while both recording session music for television production companies. Whilst taking a break in New York during the summer of 2008 they stumbled across Carolina Creszhma at an open mic night at the Bowery Ballroom. The talented singer received little attention from the audience, but DeBastian and Ellis couldn't ignore her.

A week later the newly formed "The Infinite" played their first gig in a small club in the back streets of New York. The band received no noticeable attention and decided to work on some material to present to record labels. It was during this time that they met Luke Houghton an aspiring musician who was working in Will & Lee's hotel and Bass Guitarist James Frampton who had left his native Australia to pursue the American Dream.

The band returned to the UK in October of 2008 to work on new material and decide how best to launch their career in the much easier UK Market.

Tango Challenge 2009[edit | edit source]

After deciding to launch their brand of music in late Spring of 2009, The Infinite seized an opportunity to piggy back off of someone else's career and launch a few months early after putting themselves forward as a last minute replacement after Kaci Trent mysteriously disappeared. They found themselves partnered up with Violetta DiNozzo, this pairing was perhaps the most controversial, with relations between both parties rapidly degenerating to the point where they almost could not work together.

The pairing released Devil's Playground/Do Me Dirty on February 23rd, with the track peaking at #11. The Infinite refuse to acknowledge either track as their first single.

Debut Album | I Didn't Change This Is What you Made Me (2009)[edit | edit source]

After gaining some notable attention during the Tango Challenge, the band were quickly signed up by Saturdays Records before they jumped ship a month later for Ensemble Entertainment after it was placed under the management of Indigo Peak

The Band Quickly moved to release their debut single Love Junk, a disco pop anthem in May 2009. The band carried out a series of secret gigs to promote the track, performing each show under an assumed name. The Disco-pop track peaked in the UK charts at #14.

They swiftly announced the next single from their debut album would be the track Ooooh, which at the time of announcement was not even finished. The band completed recording on the track 24 hours before their first television appearance to perform it. The Track was scrapped for release after the band's 3 month disappearance, following a plane crash in the Amazon.

Fan favourite Dancefloor Officer was released in November 2009 and launched the band into the top 10, peaking at #6.

In an attempt to hype up their début album, the band refused to reveal it's name until the day of release. 6 tracks for the release have already been confirmed and have received critical acclaim from their peers.
Recording of the album was completed on June 18th.

When the band announced they were looking for a guest vocalist for one album track, they were inundated with offers. The chosen vocalist was China, who recorded her vocals outside of the UK
