"Flames For Veins" is a single by Luke Ramada and Romo, released as the first single from Ramada's seventh studio album (eighth overall), Bipolar Alchemy, on which the song is the album's opening track. The song was co-written by Ramada and Romo, with both and Indigo Peak's Andre Cassenove involved in the song's production.
The song was heavily inspired by Ramada's work on Romo's sixth studio album Tambora, as he sought to craft a song that built on the album's heavy use of fire and volcano imagery and metaphors, as well as the blend of experimental music with pop music hooks and structures, akin to Romo and Cassenove's work on that album's single, "No One Ever Gets What They Want".
"Flames For Veins" is Ramada's first release as a signee of Romo's exclusive, invitation-only record label, The Empire.
