Maybe This Time[edit | edit source]

Izzy released her debut album Maybe this time in May 2005. The lead single In My Own Time was released in January of the same year. It was to be Izzys first release since quitting power-pop duo 2gether.

Despite a luke warm reception to her solo material, Izzy ploughed on, teaming up with dance ledgends S*F for her second single. Secret Room was released in February 2005 and gave Izzy her biggest so far, peaking at number #14. She quickly followed up the success of Secret Room by releasing the double AA sided single Who's Leaving Who/Tonight. This gave Izzy her first top ten single, peaking at number six in April 2005.

The release of the album followed, teamed up with the Heaven penned track Can't Stop, Won't Stop. The single entered the chart at number five, cementing Izzys run of success. The album later charted at number 5, and ended up selling in excess of 250,000 copies in the UK, before Izzy moved onto the next project

TV's Dinnerdates & Bowling[edit | edit source]

TV's Dinnerdates & Bowling was released in September 2005. It's been suggested that she gave the album this name after her appearance with Antony Jones on Thrill Me, I'm Famous. However Izzy has neither confirmed or denied this.

The lead single was released the week before the original release. I just can't be friends entered the chart at number three, and gave Izzy her first top three single. It was also her first track to gain a certification, earning a silver classification by the time it had left the chart. Fine the first of three (yes only three) tracks she wrote with Russ Hooch followed up at the beginning of December. It entered and peaked at number four. It also gained a silver classifiction. Izzy has since revealed that this is one of her favorite tracks.

2006 got off to a rocky start, with the double AA side ...For A Friend/Stupid Cupid entering the charts at number nine the week of valentines day. Izzy moved on and worked on 5 new tracks for the re-release of the album. The first single to be released off the re-release Would It Kill Ya? took Izzy back to the top three. It gave Izzy her first platinum single. She later went onto reveal that the track was inspired by Antony's rejection on Thrill me and There's Something About Ant.

Izzy teamed up with Fifth Element to release Thats How It Ends, the song failed to set the chart alight entering at number nine. Despite it's poor chart run, Izzy does hold a soft spot for the track, performing it on her past two tours and has told fans that it'll take pride of place on her Greatest Hits when it comes.

Izzy rounded off the era with the release of Don't Forget To Breathe/Don't Give Me Your Life. She once again harrased the top three and went platinum. By the release of the single in July 2006, Izzy had released seven singles since the first one from TV's dinnerdates & bowling, six of them being from the album.

TV's Dinnerdates & Bowling ended up selling in excess of 1.1million copies in the UK, and earned the Diamond certification in May 2006.

After Don't Forget To Breathe/Don't Give Me Your Life's release Izzy took a break from releasing music, to concentrate on her next album.

Anthology Of A Sinner: The Greatest Hits[edit | edit source]

The greatest hits era started when Izzy teamed up with Indigo Peak in June 2008 to release Active Duty/Fever. Original plans were that the album would be released to co-incide with this single release, however plans were shelved in favour of an autumn release. Despite this, Active Duty/Fever was recieved well, and went onto be the biggest selling single of 2008, and was the inspiration behind Indigo Peak and Izzy's joint tour; Active Duty Tour. Active Duty/Fever was most notably the first number one single to sell over 120,000 copies in its first week since Jack Stevens hit Foreign Birds a year previous. Active Duty/Fever was the number one selling single of 2008.

The second single Dirty Little Sinners, Izzy stuck with the Indigo Peak production. The track was released on November 24th 2008. It entered the chart at number one and hung around the top fourty for over 15 weeks. Sales to date are currently in excess of 300,000.

TV Work[edit | edit source]

Thrill Me I'm Famous[edit | edit source]

Izzy took part in the very first series of Russ Hooch's celebrity dating programme Thrill me, I'm Famous. Izzy was originally paired up with Antony Jones, however despite picking Antony for another date, he chose to pass up the opportunity. In the final episode of the first series, the rejectees got the chance to pick one of the other rejectees for a chance at love. Antony saw the error of his ways and picked Izzy, however Izzy had moved on and chose Kantar. The pair had a brief fling before splitting about a week later. Izzy went on to co-present the second series of Thrill me, with Russ. Izzy managed to match up Nikki with Jake and Jack Stevens with the not famous anymore one from Venom.

There's Something About Ant[edit | edit source]

After the 'will they won't they' of Thrill me, I'm famous, Izzy was signed up to take part in the spin off; There's something about Ant. The show was essentially ten of Uraps hottest females battling for the affections of Antony Jones. Izzy fought her way through to the final, against Chayne Moore. Once again she got so close to the prize, but lost out. Chayne and Antony's relationship lasted about a week.
