The second UK series of The Uraps Factor was broadcast on ITV from 12 January 2013 and ended on ???. The live shows starting on 19 January 2013. The sixteen chosen finalists were 4EVR, Alyssa Monroe, Charleston Raleigh, Damien Cruz, Deidrea Wright, Diamante, Dustin Anderson, Eoin O'Neill, Indigo Indigo, Jade Santiago, Justyce, Kimono, Malaya Gold, Matt West, Raquel Sparks and Terry Harper. |Kleo Pledger mentored the Boys (Cruz, Justyce, O'Neill and Raleigh), Brett Clarkson mentored the Girls (Flowers, Gold, Monroe, Santiago and Sparks), James Moss mentored the Over 28s (Anderson, Harper, West and Wright) and Candi Elite mentored the Groups (4EVR, Diamante, Indigo Indigo and Kimono). Before the start of the live shows, one previously eliminated act from each category was chosen as a wildcard, with Chelsea Flowers, from the Girls, being voted in by the public as the seventeenth finalist. The series was won by Malaya Gold on 23 June 2013.

Boys[edit | edit source]

The boys were mentored by singer Kleo

The "Boys" category was mentored by Kleo. Contestants in this category are males aged 16 to 24. The seven candidates were Damien Cruz, Justyce, Vincent King, Eoin O'Neill, Charleston Raleigh, Artemis Tolkien and Ricky Twist. Pledger chose

Damien Cruz[edit | edit source]

Damien Cruz was Kleo's third act to be eliminated. He never appeared in the bottom two, until Week 9 when the judge's vote was removed and only the public's vote counted. It was this week he found himself leaving the competition, in 5th place.

Justyce[edit | edit source]

Justyce was Kleo's last act to be eliminated from the competition. He never appeared in the bottom two, and made it to the semi-final in Week 10, where he was eliminated leaving the competition in 4th place. This makes him the highest placed male in Uraps Factor history.

Eoin O'Neill[edit | edit source]

Eoin O'Neill was Kleo's second act to be eliminated. On Week 2 of the competition, a double elimination took place where the contestant with the fewest votes (Raleigh) was eliminated instantly, leaving the next two with the fewest votes to sing in the bottom three. He sang against Terry Harper, where some controversy was caused after judge James Moss refused to vote, despite the fact Terry was his act and Eoin wasn't. Despite this, Brett and Candi both voted Eoin out, and he became Kleo's second act eliminated that night, finishing in 14th place.

Charleston Raleigh[edit | edit source]

Charleston Raleigh was the youngest contestant in the competiton, at just 16 years old and Kleo's first act to be eliminated. A double elimination took place in Week 1, where the act with the least votes was eliminated, and the two acts with the next fewest votes would have to perform in the sing off. It was revealed Charleston would have to sing in the bottom 3 against Dustin Anderson. All judges besides Dustin's mentor Moss, voted out Dustin. In Week 2, another double elimination took place, where the act with the fewest votes would once again be eliminated straight away. It was revealed this act was Charleston, and he left the competiton in 15th place.

Girls[edit | edit source]

The girls were mentored by singer Brett Clarkson

The "Girls" category was mentored by Brett Clarkson. Contestants in this category are females aged 16 to 24. The seven candidates were Chelsea Flowers, Malaya Gold, Lenka Kocianova, Natalie Lough, Alyssa Monroe, Jade Santiago and Raquel Sparks. Clarkson chose:

Chelsea Flowers[edit | edit source]

Chelsea Flowers is one of the two acts still in the competition. She was not originally chosen as one of Brett's original four acts to bring through to the live shows, something which caused a lot of media outrage, however she became the public's wildcard with a massive 58.3% of the votes to return. In Week 7 Chelsea appeared in the bottom 3 alongside Deidrea Wright and Raquel Sparks for a double elimination. It was revealed that Deidrea had received the least public votes and was eliminated immediately, leaving Chelsea and Raquel in the sing off. The vote went to deadlock after Elite and Clarkson voted out Sparks where as Pledger and Moss voted out Flowers. Deadlock revealed Raquel had received the least votes and was eliminated. Chelsea eventually made it to the live grand final in Week 11, where she finished the competition in second place, behind only winner Malaya Gold.

Malaya Gold[edit | edit source]

Malaya Gold is one of the two acts still in the competition. In Week 6, she was in the bottom two alongside Matt West. After judges Candi and James voted to send home Malaya, and Kleo and Brett sent home Matt, the vote went to deadlock, where it was revealed Matt had recieved the least votes and was eliminated. Malaya eventually went on to win the entire competition, beating Chelsea Flowers to take first place. She will release "Power To Heal" later in 2013.

Alyssa Monroe[edit | edit source]

Alyssa Monroe was the third of Clarkson's girls to be voted out of the competition. In Week 3, Alyssa appeared in the bottom 2, alongside girlband Diamante. Voting went to deadlock after Elite and Moss voted out Alyssa, where as Pledger and Clarkson voted out Diamante. Diamante were revealed to have recieved the fewest votes, and Alyssa went through. In Week 08 she once again appeared in the bottom 2, this time against another female group, Indigo Indigo. Elite and Pledger voted out Alyssa where as Clarkson and Moss voted out Indigo Indigo, making the vote go to deadlock. It was revealed Alyssa had recieved the least votes and left the competition in 6th place.

Jade Santiago[edit | edit source]

Jade Santiago was the first of Clarkson's girls to be voted out of the competition. In Week 4, she was voted in the bottom three alongside Matt West and Terry Harper, where it was revealed the act with the fewest votes would be eliminated instantly, leading to Harper's departure. After her sing off with West, Elite and Pledger voted to send Jade home, where as Clarkson and Moss voted out West (despite the fact he was in Moss's category). The vote went to deadlock and it was revealed Jade had the least votes of the two, leaving the show in 11th place.

Raquel Sparks[edit | edit source]

Raquel Sparks was the second of Clarkson's girls to be voted out the competition. In Week 7 Raquel appeared in the bottom 3 alongside Deidrea Wright and Chelsea Flowers for a double elimination It was revealed they Deidrea had received the least public votes and was eliminated immediately, leaving Chelsea and Raquel in the sing off. The vote went to deadlock after Elite and Clarkson voted out Sparks where as Pledger and Moss voted out Flowers. Deadlock revealed Raquel had received the least votes and she was eliminated, finishing in 7th place.

Over 25s[edit | edit source]

The over 25s category was mentored by singer James Moss

The "Over 25s" category was mentored by James Moss. Contestants in this category are of either gender, aged 25 or over. There is no upper age limit. The seven candidates were Dustin Anderson, Terry Harper, Fook Mi, Terry, Ross Tracy, Matt West and Deidrea Wright. Moss chose:

Dustin Anderson[edit | edit source]

Dustin Anderson was Moss's first act to be eliminated. A double eilimination took place in week 1, where the act with the fewest votes was immedietly eliminated, and the next two acts with the fewest votes would be in the sing-off. Dustin was placed in the sing off against Charleston Raleigh, with the only judge voting to keep Anderson being his mentor, Moss. Anderson finished the competition in 16th place. On 30 January 2013, almost two weeks after his elimination, Anderson was found dead due to an overdose. It is believed his elimination from the show was the final straw.

Terry Harper[edit | edit source]

Terry Harper was the second of Moss's acts to be eliminated. On Week 2, the act with the fewest votes was eliminated, and the two acts with the next fewest votes would have to sing in the sing-off. Terry was put against Eoin O'Neill, however Terry progressed through with judges Candi and Brett choosing to save her, over Kleo. Terry's judge, James Moss bizzarely refused to vote for an act to send home, despite the fact Terry was in his category and Eoin wasn't. In Week 4, another double elimination took place, where the act with the fewest votes would be eliminated immedietly. It was revealed this act was Terry Harper and she left the competition in 12th place.

Matt West[edit | edit source]

Matt West was the third of Moss's acts to be eliminated. In Week 4 he appeared in the bottom three alongside Jade Santiago and Terry Harper, where it was revealed the act with the fewest votes would be eliminated straigh away, leading to Harper's departure. He then sung in the sing off again Santiago, where Elite and Pledger voted to send home Santiago, Clarkson and Moss voted to send home West (despite the fact Moss is his mentor). This led to the vote going to dreadlock, where Santiago had recieved less votes than West and was eliminated. Matt then refused to work with Moss the following week, following his disloyalty. In Week 6, Matt appeared in the bottom two once again, this time against Malaya Gold. The vote went to deadlock after Candi and James voted to send home Malaya, and Kleo and Brett voted against Matt. It was revealed Matt had recieved the least votes and would leave the competition in 9th place.

Deidrea Wright[edit | edit source]

Deidrea Wright was Moss' last act to be voted out the competition. In Week 5, she appeared in the bottom two alongside girlgroup Kimono. James and Kleo both voted to send Kimono home, however Candi and Brett voted to send Deidrea home, bringing the vote to deadlock. It was revealed that the act with the fewest votes was Kimono, meaning they were eliminated. She is James' last remaining act. In week 7, Deidrea was in the bottom three alongside Chelsea Flowers and Raquel Sparks, where a double elimination meant the act with the fewest votes would be sent home immediately. This act was revealed to be Deidrea and she left the competition in 8th place.

Groups[edit | edit source]

The groups were mentored by singer Candi

The Groups category was mentored by Candi. Acts in this category are duos or vocal groups. All members must be aged 16 or over. The seven candidates were 4EVR, Diamante, Indigo Indigo, Kimono, Knightridaz, Jambalaya and Social Recall. Candi chose:

4EVR[edit | edit source]

4EVR were a female duo who were Candi's first act to be eliminated. On Week 1 a double elimination took place, where the act with the fewest votes was sent home instantly. This was 4EVR meaning they left the competition in 17th place.

Diamante[edit | edit source]

Diamate are a three-piece girl group who were Candi's second act to be eliminated. In Week 3, they appeared in the bottom 2 alongside Alyssa Monroe. Voting went to deadlock after Elite and Moss voted out Monroe, where as Clarkson and Pledger voted out Diamante. It was revealed Diamante had recieved the least votes and were voted out in 13th place.

Indigo Indigo[edit | edit source]

Indigo Indigo are a female duo who were Candi's final act to be eliminated from the competition. They are Candi's last remaining act. They first appeared in the bottom 2 in Week 08, against Alyssa Monroe. Voting went to deadlock after Elite and Pledger voted out Alyssa, where as Moss and Clarkson voted out Indigo. The results of deadlock revealed Alyssa had recieved the least votes and left the competition. Indigo Indigo reached the live final, where they competed against Chelsea Flowers and Malaya Gold. They performed live with Tommy Gunn, however received the least votes to win out of the final three, and therefore the left the competition in 3rd place, becoming the highest placing group ever on The Uraps Factor.

Kimono[edit | edit source]

Kimono are a four-piece girlband that are composed of Kaori Takahashi, Sakura Kimura, Hikario Onuki and Kuki Amuro. They originally found fame on "The G Factor", reaching the final 11 before the show was cancelled. They also appeared on the first season of "The Uraps Factor" where they were eliminated in week 3 by their own mentor (Moss). They hired a fourth member (Amuro) in order to meet the show's rules about returning. In Week 5, they appeared in the bottom two alongside Deidrea Wright. Judges James Moss and Kleo voted to send Kimono home, whereas Candi and Brett voted against Deidrea, meaning the vote went to deadlock. It was revealed that Kimono had recieved the fewesst votes and were sent home in 10th place. They were Candi's third act to be eliminated.
