Loving Me To Death is Moodring's 7th UK single and third to be released on Fusion Records. It is the first to be released from the reissue of Mood Swings and will be released on December 27th.

Background[edit | edit source]

Loving Me To Death was written as a Christmas song but without much Festivity. The demo version premiered on the Fusion:Live tour, but the single version will not premiere until December.

Release and reception[edit | edit source]

Loving Me To Death is Moodrings final release of 2010 and the first from a reissue off Mood Swings. The single has been described as Moodring's most experimental and darkest yet, and although critics believe it will not match the success of Fantasy or Dirty Dirty it is their most praised song yet in terms of musical integrity.

Promotion[edit | edit source]

Due to Cassie giving birth during promotion, promotion for the single has been sparse. Viral images of the girls in wigs were released to the internet, and the band performed several live, acoustic versions of the demo version.

Music video[edit | edit source]

The music video was directed by Floria Sigismondi and differs from every Moodring video so far due to it's artistic concept. The video shows the birth and death of a relationship in an artform metaphor of snow, life and decay. The video contains couture outfits and nudity. It gained a positive response from critics who stated that Moodring are putting themselves on the map as true musicians, moving away from the superficial to show a deeper side to their music.
