Queen of Diamonds is a collaborative EP between Moodring and Morris David Cat. It was released on November 12, 2012 and contains songs from the albums Soul and Romeo Is Dead as well as two new collaborative tracks. The EP Moodring's 11th UK single and seventh to be released on Fusion Records. EP track Diamond Tears is the third to be released from their second album, Soul. The EP is Morris David Cat's 24th single and EP track The Queen of Everything is the sixth to be taken from his fifth album Romeo Is Dead.


Background[edit | edit source]

Moodring's manager was approached by Morris David Cat's after an advert was put out to remix the single Diamond Tears. After discussion with the artists, an EP was created, featuring singles by the two acts as well as two original songs, "Queen of Diamonds" and "Everything Tears".

Release and reception[edit | edit source]

The EP was a welcome departure from Moodring's current sound, as their last four singles had been ballads. Most believed the collaboration was a good one and that the two acts fit well together.


Promotion[edit | edit source]

MoodCat is they became known took to the TV and performed the songs on Ellen and other stateside shows. It will be Moodring's first single to be released in the USA. Moodring also performed for MTV Unplugged, with Morris as a guest.



Music video[edit | edit source]

The music video for "Queen of Diamonds" took the form of a dating show. For "Diamond Tears" it showed Moodring watching, trapped inside a TV as Morris was with his girlfriend.
