"She Turns Me On" is the fourth International single from Isaac Bellamy's debut international album Makings of a Man. The single features guest vocals from singer/songwriter Bella-May. The song is written by Isaac Bellamy and produced by Wayne Beckford. The single was released in the UK on 09 September 2013. The single entered the singles chart at number one, and spent a total of 26 weeks on the chart. The song sold a total of 429,486 copies and was certified Platinum.

Background[edit | edit source]

The release of the single was announced in Next Generation records' newsletter on 9 August 2013. The newsletter revealed that Bellamy would be releasing a "remixed" version of a catchy tune. A few days later, Bellamy announced that singer Bella-May would be featured in his fourth and final single "She Turns Me On". According to Bellamy, he wanted to release "Devotion" as the fourth single, but the record label felt it would be best if Bellamy released an upbeat track as the last single. Bella-May recorded her verses for the single in the week of August 12, 2013, and by the end of the week the single premiered on Vevo.

Promotion[edit | edit source]

Next Generation Records sent the song to radios on August 19, 2013. Bellamy flew to England on September 16 to begin a mini radio tour to promote the single. Although Bellamy spent two weeks in the UK, he was not scheduled to make any TV appearances to perform the single. He recorded a few short interviews for MTV's website while he was shooting the music video for "She Turns Me On".

Music video[edit | edit source]

Screenshot of the video.

Bellamy shot the video on 17 August 2013, and Bella-May shot her scenes on August 18 in London.
The video opens with Isaac inside a telephone booth talking to a mystery person. He's asked to open an envelope hidden behind the phone. He reaches behind the phone and finds the envelope with an address. He exits the booth and walks through an empty alley singing the song. Scene cuts to a woman in high heels holding a handcuff in one hand and whip in the other. Her face is not shown; the camera only shows from her from the waist down. Scene changes once again and now Bella-May is seen sitting down filling her nails while being served tea (the camera only shows her from the waist up). She is surprised by an arrival. Scene changes and it shows Isaac speeding through town in his bike. Isaac arrives at a big empty storage, he checks the envelope and now a picture of a woman tied up is seen. Once again, her face is not show, just her hands and feet tied up. Isaac quickly runs to an elevator, but as he pushes the button, the scene changes and it shows Bella-May switching the power of the storage off (only her face is shown). Isaac quickly runs up the stairs in distress, as Bella makes her way through the hallway of some building. When Isaac reaches the top of the building, he runs into a wall and breakthrough it. He is now on the terrace starring at someone standing on the edge. Scene changes and it shows the woman in high heels holding the handcuff and unwinding the whip (she is once again only seen from the waist down). Isaac smirks and closes his fist as he walks towards the woman. The video abruptly ends.
