The single was more rock than Esmeralda had ever done before, and was an anthem for women who suspected that their men were cheating on them!

In January 2006, "Warning" made the final 10 in the Record of the Year competition, and beat out tough competitors to win the entire competition!
Lyrics[edit | edit source]
I tried to tell you not to fool around with me I tried to tell you that I'm not your type Don't keep going off, shrugging your stuff Or you won't see when you get wiped
You never listen when I say get out You never listen when I need to be alone When I see your face, it makes me sick When I hear your voice, I hang up the phone
You ignored my warning Stay out, I don't need any of that You ignored my warning Stay out, before I pound you flat
You say you'll be good, I know you better One minute later, you're full of your lies You may want me back, but I've found my way I know all to well not to trust your disguise
You ignored my warning Stay out of my life, get off my case You ignored my warning Stay away from my personal space
I'll tell you again For the last time Listen to me say it Or get covered in slime
Don't ignore my warning Or I'll take it higher For next time you'll burn In the middle of a fire
You ignored my warning Stay out, I don't need any of that You ignored my warning Stay out, before I pound you flat
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The song was originally intended for flopstar Marija when she held a contest to write a song for her; however, the song was incomplete at the time. Esmeralda then finished it for the Growth Hormone album and recorded it herself.
