Imperfect Balance is the third album from Esmeralda Dimuzio. It was her third #1 album as well, and her second diamond album. Its first week sales of 133,928 units are the highest ever for an Esmeralda Dimuzio album.

Hit singles taken from the album included What I'm Missing, and the #1's Shooting Star and Local Legend, the latter was re-recorded with Blush for the single release.

The album was entirely written by Esmeralda Dimuzio, aside from the duet with Kantar and Stronger Inside, which was written by Alias co-owner Andrea Twain.

The track "Helpless" was also included on the Russ Hooch-led compilation album No-One Knew Me: The Anti-Violence Society Album.

In May 2006, the album was re-released on the DualDisc format, containing videos from both singles from the album and duets from the same time frame, as well as a performance from Dr. C's, the club owned by Dr. C and the Predicates from November 2005. The re-release helped the album go diamond.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The album was originally to be titled "Delicate Balance", but was changed as Nathalie Armani's album was entitled "Delicate Sound Of Me".
  • "Never Be Free" was originally called Cold Shower, but was changed due to Emma Brown's single of the same name, which incidentally knocked Shooting Star out of the #1 spot on the singles chart!
