Personal Life/ Story[edit | edit source]
Alyssa has spoken out about her personal story on her youtube channel, under the name of 'AlyssaMorgan5'. She states she was born in Brixton in 1994 to her parents, Alexander Morgan and Jodie White. Her father, Alexander was briefly sent to prison for shop lifting and after release, he ran away from Alyssa and her mother, Jodie. The two were left in their small council flat. Having her father run away had a big effect on Alyssa, as she was diagnosed with depression. This affected her school work and social life as she became paranoid and depressed. When Alyssa was 15, her mother told Alyssa she was going to see relatives up in the north of England, she also, ran away and left Alyssa.
Alyssa lived by herself for a year before going to social services after she could not keep up with the rent. She moved out of the flat into a small bedsit, where she lived under the eye of a homeless teenagers charity. Alyssa dropped out of school at 16 and started to make money busking and playing small sets at local bars. When Alyssa was 17, her mother returned stating she had found her father and he had attacked and threatened her. Alyssa and Jodie moved in together and worked things out. Alyssa enrolled at a local college and studied Music Technology and Digital Media Production. After gaining her qualifications, she moved out and lived by herself in Brixton, but away from her mother and with a close friend she had made at college. Her friend helped Alyssa get her career started and helped her produce her youtube channel, which has become extremely popular over the months due to her outstanding talent and astonishing story. So far, she has 30,000 subscribers and over 50 videos including covers, originals and daily video blogs.
