Supermom
Supermom is an American black comedy television series co-written, directed and produced by Shell Ruin and Judd Apatow. The series is based on the book The SuperMom Myth: Conquering the Dirty Villains of Motherhood by Becky Kopitzke. The first season aired on the HBO network in the United States from February 19 to April 9, 2017. Supermom stars Ruin in the lead role as Terri Cockburn, mother of 8-year-old Harrison (--), who narrates the story from the birth of her son until the present day, documenting the trials and tribulations that new mothers face from a a comedic standpoint.
After Ruin successfully pitched the idea of the show to Apatow, he completed a script of its pilot episode which HBO picked up for filming in September 2017, with Apatow as director. The success of the pilot led HBO to give the green-light to the first season in February 2018.
