"One More Memory" is a song and charity single recorded by various artists credited as URAPS United. It was conceived by Shell Ruin in response to the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing, which killed 22 concert goers and injured more than 100. The song was written by Ruin and Eoin O'Neill, with additional rap verses written and performed by Kenya and L.E.X. "One More Memory" was produced by Alesha, who also served as an intermediary between artists; James Moss of Phoenix Rising provided vocal production and additional mixing.

Following the success of the 2015 single "Who I Am (Golden)", which promoted LGBTQ rights and benefitted transgender advocacy groups, it was decided that "One More Memory" would revive the URAPS United moniker.

20 artists assisted in the making of "One More Memory", which was released as a physical CD and digital download on June 12, 2017. Fusion Records handled the release, allowing artists to use the recording studios most convenient to them. Proceeds from the song will be donated to the the We Love Manchester charity and the British Red Cross.

Background[edit | edit source]

Writing and recording sessions[edit | edit source]

An early draft of "One More Memory", titled "Old Trafford", was conceived by Shell Ruin the day after the May 22 bombing at Manchester Arena. Ruin shared the song with Alesha, who grew up in the Manchester metropolitan area. Irish singer-songwriter Eoin O'Neill sent a rough demo of another track to Alesha. Ultimately, the songs were merged and finessed to create one coherent track. Rappers Kenya and L.E.X were enlisted to write their own original verses for the song. Alesha produced the song and arranged vocals for each artist. James Moss of Phoenix Rising, who had co-produced "Who I Am (Golden)", provided additional vocal production and mixing.

Artists involved[edit | edit source]

Each of the 18 solo artists involved were given one solo section to perform, the only exception being James Moss, who does not perform on the track. Two groups were also included – Aftershock and Jetfire. Each member of both groups were also afforded a solo section.
