The Queen Tour is the third concert tour by British recording artist Alesha. It supported her fourth studio album Alesha Is the Queen (2007). Jamie King was hired to direct. The Queen Tour was Alesha's first world tour as a headlining artist, with shows in Asia, Europe and North America. The set list consisted of mainly songs from the supporting studio album and rehearsals started during March 2007. The tour kicked off on 1 May 2007 in Dublin, Ireland and concluded on 28 August 2007 in Vancouver, Canada.

The concert was Alesha's first to feature a narrative. The show was divided into distinct sections that represented a stage in the titular "queen's" life: The Coronation, The Sovereign, Valley of the Dolls, Torn, The Comeback Kid and The Culmination. The tour garnered positive appreciation from contemporary critics and commercial success. The tour was recorded and broadcast on such channels as Epix in the United States and Channel 4 in the United Kingdom. A CD and DVD recording titled The Queen: Live from Wembley was also released.

Background and development[edit | edit source]

In January 2007, Alesha revealed that she would be going on tour in support of Alesha Is the Queen. The tour's official title was confirmed later that month, followed by official tour dates in February 2007. Jamie King was next hired on as the director of the tour. King also confirmed that the set list for the tour consisted mainly of songs from the supporting album, with few of Alesha's old hits making the cut. The tour's costumes were designed by John Galliano, who described Alesha as a "muse" after hearing the single "Fashion Kills". Alfie Outcast and Lola Elle were selected as support acts for all shows.
