"Blind Spot" is a single by British recording artist Bette.
Background[edit | edit source]
Following the #1 success of her single "Big Girl", and her self-titled debut album, Bette announced "Blind Spot" as her album's third official single, with an August 5, 2021 release date. Bette spoke highly of the track in interviews, calling it "[her] favourite on the album". The track, produced by legendary producers Knobfeelers, fuses an aggressive delivery with early 1990s rave influences. Critics also named "Blind Spot" as an album highlight.
Music Video[edit | edit source]
The music video for "Blind Spot", directed by Petra Collins, sees Bette corner a man, presumably her boyfriend, along a deserted highway, and proceeds to destroy his car, stranding him at the side of the road at night instead of assisting him. Handing him her locket, presumably gifted to her by him, she drives off into the night.
The video was well-received by critics, though concerns were raised by parents' groups over the violent imagery presented in the video.
